It features 7 NOAA / NWS weather channels and 25 programmable locations. It also includes S.A.M.E. digital technology to receive alerts and warnings for your specific area. This radio allows you to select whether you want a voice alert, a tone alert, or a silent display alert. You can even customize alerts by selecting which are most important to you.

This radio has an alert override function to automatically warn you of impending danger. It includes 3 selectable warning systems, including a 90 decibel siren alarm, a flashing LED light, or a voice alert. The color-coded alert indicators make it easy to identify the intensity of the threat. This radio is also capable of storing up to 10 different previously received hazards and weather alerts. It is trilingual, allowing you to select between English, Spanish, and French.

This radio has a large, backlit LCD display to easily monitor the current settings and to display text alerts. It is easy to operate with simple button controls for functions such as power and volume. This radio also includes the time and an alarm clock for additional convenience. It includes an AC power adapter to plug into a wall outlet. This radio also features a battery backup system that runs on (3) AA batteries (sold separately) to continue operating in the event of a power outage.
